Amparo Silva

Amparo Silva is responsible for developing and implementing plans that support the universities' objectives to increase and enroll diverse student populations globally by increasing, building and maintaining partnerships with embassies, Education USA, community based organizations, high schools, counselors, alumni and prospective students and their parents. Responsible for collaborating and planning recruitment efforts for diverse populations domestically and internationally. Amparo oversees the Metropolitan Office of Admissions in NYC, Latin America, and the Caribbean domestic and international. She facilitates presentations, panels, seminars and workshops for students and parents on issues related to the college selection process, admissions and financial aid in English and Spanish. Amparo has published several articles on educational issues, including articles in El Diario la Prensa and Novedades Latinas.  She has served on the board for the  NGO Committee on the International Decade of the World's Indigenous Peoples / United Nations, The Latino American National Action Council, and other community and professional organizations.
