VPA's Program adds "12+" models to this year's Fashion Design Presentation
April 28, 2016
On May 26, the Fashion Design Program in Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts will hold its 2016 New York City Fashion Presentation at the Lubin House and you are invited.
The presentation includes the top 10 six-piece collections from the senior fashion design Class of 2016 as well as 18 size 12+ designs from the Fashion Without Limits initiative designed by members of the junior fashion design class. Fashion Without Limits is a partnership with iconic supermodel and entrepreneur Emme ’85 and Wolf Form Company Inc. Illustrating just how important this untapped 12+ market is to the future of the industry the program has added 6 additional live models who will wear the 12+ looks created by students in the program.
This year’s presentation also features the New York City book launch of Vintage Details: A Fashion Sourcebook by Jeffrey Mayer, associate professor of fashion design and curator of the Sue Ann Genet Costume Collection, which is featured in the book, and Basia Szkutnicka, a London-based fashion lecturer and avid vintage collector.
