SUmmer in the City
April 26, 2016
SUmmer in New York City is quickly approaching, and with so many fun events going on throughout the region, we want to make sure you know about all the awesome SUmmer programming planned for alumni, parents, students, and friends!
Now in its sixth year, SU Day returns to the Bronx for #SUDay2016 on Saturday, June 25 as the Yankees take on the Minnesota Twins at 1 p.m. Tickets are on sale now until May 25 (or while supplies last). Each year, thousands of SU alumni, friends, and family bring their #Orange spirit to the ballpark and cheer on New York’s baseball teams. Join fans and friends bussed from Syracuse University campus, Binghamton, and New Jersey. We are so excited for this year’s game!
For more information about #SUDay2016, contact email@example.com and be sure to check out our Facebook album from SU Day with the Mets last year and our previous SU Day with the Yankees. Big Apple Orange, SU’s official alumni club of NYC, will host a Mets outing later this summer, too. Stay tuned for details.
WhitmanNYC will host their Seventh Annual Dinosaur Bar-B-Que Picnic in Central Park in August. You’re invited to join alumni, parents, and friends in Central Park to socialize, network, and welcome recent Whitman graduates to NYC while enjoying the best BBQ around. Stay tuned for details.
From May 18–June 30, SU Lubin House welcomes all to visit our art exhibition titled, Trigger Points. Trigger Points brings together contemporary and historical artwork from New Zealand, the United States, Australia, Finland, and the United Kingdom to explore the potent and slippery nature of memory through the visual arts. The exhibition is conceived in relation to Memory Works, a collaborative symposium between Massey University’s College of Creative Arts and Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts. Trigger Points is co-curated by Heather Galbraith, associate professor at the Whiti o Rehua School of Art, Massey University, New Zealand; and Andrew J. Saluti, assistant director of the Syracuse University Art Galleries and Collection.
Whether you visit us at Lubin House, head out to the ballpark, or join us for a picnic in Central Park, we hope you will get engaged and stay connected with SU this SUmmer!
