Syracuse University Creates Joseph I. Lubin Society
February 9, 2017
Welcome to the Lubin Society.
On the heels of the 50th anniversary of Syracuse University’s Lubin House, the University has created the Joseph I. Lubin Society to celebrate and recognize its most philanthropic parents. An inaugural event to celebrate the launch of the Lubin Society brought Syracuse University Chancellor Kent Syrverud, Provost Michele Wheatly, and Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and the Student Experience Dolan Evanovich together with parents of students at Lubin House on Feb. 1.
The Joseph I. Lubin Society recognizes those families who have chosen to help propel the University to new standards of excellence. The society is named for the largest parent donor in Syracuse University’s history, who, from his first days as a Syracuse parent, became deeply engaged in the life of the University.
The transformative power of a Syracuse University education can be seen in the accomplishments of our stellar alumni, who have gone on to succeed in disciplines ranging from government to the arts, journalism to science, technology to teaching. They could not have reached those heights without the foundation they received at Syracuse.
