Live from New York…it’s our new website!
April 25, 2014
Syracuse University’s presence in New York City has evolved over the years—from historic brownstone and alumni center to multiple buildings for events, admissions, student programs, career development services, and academic immersion experiences.
Today, NYC has our largest alumni concentration in the world. And with the launch of our new website, nyc.syr.edu, SU’s full breadth of offerings in the city is captured in one place.
Whether you’re an alum, a prospective student, an art lover, or just a fan of “New York’s college team,” nyc.syr.edu is your information hub for everything Orange in the New York City metro area!
SU’s latest addition—the Fisher Center—brings an academic home to NYC, with 20,000 square feet of space to expand our programs in theater, architecture, the arts, business, fashion, and more—and nyc.syr.edu is the place to go to learn about this great facility. Information on Lubin House and the Palitz Gallery, and combined staff listings and alumni club contacts are all located here, too, plus these exciting new features:
- Event gallery—See what’s coming up, and browse highlights from past events by date. From Palitz Gallery exhibits to portfolio reviews, SUccess in the City, new student send-offs, and special events, there’s always something going on!
- Alumni profiles—With more than 57,000 SU alumni in NYC, we have an industry expert in just about every field imaginable. This section spotlights local alums in major industries like architecture, the arts, media, real estate, finance, and more.
- Learning in NYC—Showcases some of SU’s most unique educational experiences. Learn about our semester-long NYC programs—the Global Enterprise Technology Immersion, Newhouse in NYC, the Tepper Semester, and Syracuse Architecture NYC—plus a host of others in communications, the arts, business, and education. These “immersions” place students in real-world environments to learn from industry leaders, make valuable connections, and gain a huge advantage in getting that critical first job after college.
- Social networking resources—Lists all sorts of ways to stay connected to your SU family, through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, the ’Cuse Community, and more!
The new site is designed to be a comprehensive resource for all local SU alumni, parents, and friends—whether they’re new to the New York City area or have lived there for years—as well as for prospective SU students. Visit nyc.syr.edu often to follow the latest SU news, get details on alumni club gatherings, take advantage of Career Services offerings, and learn about the many ways to support Syracuse University.
